Couples Cooking Class: Bahamian

The Bahamas brings a distinct kind of energy to a plate: bright, a little spicy, built around seafood and rum, and made for sharing. This couples cooking class puts you and your partner in the kitchen together to build a full Bahamian-inspired menu; from crispy lobster fritters to a rum-soaked cake that closes out the night right. Once the cooking’s done, you’ll sit down in one of our dining rooms and enjoy it with a group of other couples, so the evening turns into as much a social night out as it is a date. Wine and other beverages are available for purchase throughout the evening.

Curriculum

Amuse-bouche
A Chef’s creation to kick off the evening and set the tone for your journey into Bahamian cuisine, a small, thoughtfully composed bite meant to wake up your palate before the real cooking begins.

Lobster Fritters
Golden, crispy fritters packed with tender lobster pieces, served with a creamy calypso sauce that brings a little heat and a lot of flavor to every bite.

Fish Fingers
Beer-battered fish served alongside peas and rice, potato salad, and fried plantains, a classic Bahamian plate built around contrast: crisp, creamy, starchy, and sweet all on one plate.

Rum Cake
A moist yellow sponge cake soaked in dark rum, served with vanilla ice cream. It’s rich, boozy, and the kind of dessert that closes out the evening on a high note.

Couples cooking classes are $249+HST per couple. A $49 deposit is required today to reserve your spot, which is non-refundable. The remaining balance of $200+HST will be billed in-store on the day of your event, along with any additional food or beverages you purchase.
