Couples Cooking Class: Tuscany

October 16 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for a Tuscan-inspired couples cooking class, where you and your partner will cook a full Italian menu together before sitting down to enjoy it. Led by one of our professional chefs, the evening includes ribollita, chicken cacciatore with polenta, and a classic tiramisu to finish. It's a hands-on date night built around simple, rustic Italian cooking, good company, and a room full of other couples doing the same.

About this Cooking Class

  • Cost: $249.00 + HST
  • Culinaria Restaurant, 5732 Kennedy Rd, Mississauga, Ontario, L7T3Y4
  • Adult 19+ (One Ticket Admits Two Guests)
  • Single Class (Non-Repeating)

Tuscan cooking is built on the idea that a handful of good ingredients, treated with care, beats a complicated recipe every time, and that’s the spirit behind this evening. You and your partner will work together in the kitchen to build a full Italian menu, from a hearty, vegetable-packed ribollita to a rich braised chicken finished with polenta. Once the cooking’s done, you’ll retire to the dining room at Culinaria to enjoy what you made together, alongside other couples sharing the experience. Wine and other beverages are available for purchase throughout the evening.

Curriculum

Amuse-bouche
A small, thoughtfully composed bite meant to wake up your palate before the real cooking begins and set the tone for your journey into Tuscan cuisine.

Ribollita
A hearty Tuscan vegetable stew built on cannellini beans, kale, chard, and Roma tomatoes, simmered with potatoes, carrots, onion, and celery in a rich vegetable stock. It’s the kind of dish Tuscan cooking is known for: simple ingredients, slow-cooked into something deeply comforting.

Pollo alla Cacciatora
Chicken leg quarters braised “hunter’s style” with cremini mushrooms, black olives, crushed tomatoes, and bell pepper, served over creamy polenta. It’s a rustic, slow-braised dish where the sauce does most of the work, and the polenta is there to soak up every bit of it.

Tiramisu
Layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone custard, dusted to finish. It’s a classic Italian dessert built on contrast: bitter coffee against sweet, creamy mascarpone.
